All of the Alumni events are run by member volunteers from across the United States.. This dedicated group plans, coordinates, and organizes grants, faculty development workshops, film screenings, master classes, study abroad opportunities, and cultural activities.

The Alumni Association is constantly on the look out for new ideas and suggestions to make the organization even more responsive to members. Over the years, the Alumni Association has always benefited from a regular flow of new volunteers, bringing new ideas and suggestions to the organization.

Some of the ways to get involved and help out include: 

• work on grants and regional workshops

• suggest and coordinate with potential speakers for events

• identify and arrange venues for national conferences and regional or local ASDP events

• provide ideas for and set up new events

• run for the Alumni Board
